Golden Sierra 3, Rio Vista 2 — The Grizzlies overtook the Rams for third place in the Sierra Delta League with Tuesday’s home win. Robin Moore assisted Jazmin Lutey-Willard with the game-winner in the second half for Golden Sierra (4-3-1, 5-7-3). Breeze Baiz scored Golden Sierra’s first two goals with assists from Erin Anderson and Jenna Pendzinski. Pendzinski (4 saves) and Donna Torres (6 saves) shared time as goalie.

Trojan junior Austin Laut finished Wednesday’s Delta River League home meet on a really high note, taking first place in the varsity boys pole vault at 15 feet, 2 inches. This is Laut’s personal best that puts him third best in the Sac-Joaquin Section and second all-time at Oak Ridge.

Girls 
Oak Ridge 91, Sheldon 44
Senior Ashley Dean and freshman Ella Bunce placed first and second respectfully in the varsity girls’ pole vault with jumps of 9 feet, 8 inches each. Their jumps tie them for fourth all-time at Oak Ridge.
