Golden Sierra 19, Encina 2 — The Grizzlies scored seven runs in the top of the first inning in Tuesday’s Sierra Delta League win. Golden Sierra (4-5, 6-13) banged out 17 hits; Beau Burgess, Bryson Campbell, Jeffrey Klahn, Joshua Salmonson and James Shurtz each had two. Campbell had four RBIs and Klahn three. Burgess went the distance on the mound for the Grizzlies, giving up only three hits and striking out nine Bulldog batters.

Oak Ridge 16, Folsom 2 — Trailing 2-1, the Trojans exploded for 15 runs in the fourth inning Tuesday. Lindsey Zito homered, doubled and drove in 4 runs; Lauren Bertoy hit a home run; Jackie Schmaeling and Renee Bardini were each 2-for-4; Michelle Bardini was 2-for-4 with a double; Amber Orchard went 2-for-3 with a triple; and Bailey Cook was 2-for-3 with 3 RBIs.
Ponderosa 4, St. Francis 6 — The Bruins couldn’t overcome an early 5-0 deficit and lost Tuesday’s key Delta River League home game. Rachel Timberman, Missy Silviera and Cassidy Lujan each had two hits; Terra Jerpbak hit a home run; Taylor Eilder tripled; and Taylor Doane had 2 RBIs.
Union Mine 5, Vista del Lago 8 — Laura Dager went 2-for-4 with 2 RBIs and Shyanne Winje added two hits for the D’backs.
El Dorado 0, Liberty Ranch 10


El Dorado 1, Galt 0 — Kaylynn Cuddy scored the lone goal for the Cougars (1-6, 1-15-1), who picked up their first Sierra Valley Conference win of the season Tuesday at home on Senior Night. Mariah Thompson had the assist in Cuddy’s goal. Cougar goalie Kristin Kettenhofen had 10 saves.

— Rocky Sacks had nine kills for the Grizzlies (6-1, 11-2) in Tuesday’s Sierra Delta League match in North Highlands. Matt Smith followed with eight and Brian Cann seven. Smith had 25 assists, 14 digs and six aces. Eric Yamzon had 24 receives. Cann had 10 digs. Brandon Susic had two aces.
