Softball

NorCal Classic
Oak Ridge 7, Ripon 5 — Lauren Bertoy drove in four runs on two home runs and a double to pace the Lady Trojans. Renee Bardini plated the other three runs on a 2-for-4 effort; Jackie Schmaeling went 2-for-4 with a double; and Jessica Burgess was a perfect 3-for-3.
Oak Ridge 10 Le Grand 0 — Bertoy doubled and homered to support Alyssa Burns’ four-inning one-hitter due to the mercy rule. Caitlyn Olan was 2-for-2; Bailey Cook had a double and 2 RBIs; Lindsey Zito had 3 RBIs; and Michelle Bardini had 2 RBIs.
Oak Ridge 6, Los Banos 2 — Burns pitched a five-hitter and Schmaeling went 3-for-4 with 2 RBIs. Cook was 2-for-3 while Olan doubled.
Oak Ridge 3, Oakdale 12 — The Trojans were held to five hits.

Baseball

El Dorado 10, River City 8 — The Cougars scored twice in the top of the ninth inning and held off the Raiders to win the Sierra Valley Conference game. El Dorado scored six times in the third to erase a 3-0 deficit. Chris Swineford went 3-for-4 with a double and Matt Smith 2-for-5 for the Cougars. On the mound, Owen MacKendrick started and Nick Bonniksen came on in the seventh.
Golden Sierra 6, Victory Christian 2 — Bryson Campbell hit a home run and pitched a complete game seven-hitter while striking out six. Nate Anderson added 2 RBIs and Jeffrey Klahn drove in a run.
Golden Sierra 1, West Campus 5 — Campbell went 2-for-3 and Austin Mason-Burrows had the RBI.
Golden Sierra 2, San Juan 6 — Christian Klahn and Nick White each had three hits; Kyle Moe was 2-for-3 with a triple and RBI; and Chris Babbes was 2-for-4 with a double.
Golden Sierra 13, East Nicholas 22 — The Grizzlies amassed 23 hits: Moe was 4-for-4 with 2 RBIs; Campbell went 4-for-5 with two doubles and 3 RBIs; Christian Klahn had three hits, a double and 2 RBIs; White was 2-for-4 with a double and 2 RBIs; and Beau Burgess went 2-for-3.
Oak Ridge 1, Granite Bay 8 — The Trojans manged just six hits and Alec de Watteville’s first-inning home run Friday.
