Softball

Ponderosa 0, Pleasant Grove 1 — The host Eagles pushed across a fourth-inning run Monday to spoil Terra Jerpbak’s five-hit pitching. Jerpbak doubled twice for half of the Bruins’ hit total.
Oak Ridge 4, Sheldon 20 — The visiting Huskies jumped out to a 5-0 first inning lead, scored four in the fourth and six in the sixth to win Monday’s six-inning Delta River League matchup in El Dorado Hills. The Trojans scored all four of their runs in the bottom of the second to get within 5-4 but it as all Sheldon after that. The Huskies had 20 hits. Offensively for Oak Ridge, Kendall Kelly went 2-for-3 with a triple and Cameron Kirtlan was 2-for-3 with a double.

Baseball

Union Mine 2, Vista del Lago 13 — The Diamondbacks led 2-1 through three innings before Vista broke out with 12 runs in a span of three innings to win Monday’s Sierra Valley Conference mercy rule-shortened game. For Union Mine, Nate Brown went 2-for-3 and Joel Pedretti doubled.
