Oak Ridge 59, Del Campo 48 — The Trojans extended from a one-point halftime lead to defeat the Cougars Saturday for their second preseason tournament championship. Oak Ridge held a slim 29-28 lead after the first two quarters before outscoring Del Campo 16-10 in the third and 14-10 in the fourth. Bryce Scott led Troy with a game-high 17 points followed by a dozen from D.J. Leszczynski and 10 from Will Findlay. Oak Ridge is undefeated so far this season.

Del Oro Tournament
El Dorado 65, Whitney 50 — The Cougars went 2-1 at the Del Oro Tournament after Saturday’s 15-point victory over the Wildcats, El Dorado’s second of the preseason against Whitney. Dan Smith led all scorers with 24 points; Joe Visman pumped in 14, David Cochran, 13; and Nick Jemmott, right. The Cougars led 39-24 at halftime.
El Dorado 63, Del Oro 71 — Despite outscoring the Golden Eagles 24-7 in the fourth the Cougars couldn’t catch up. Smith had 22 points for El Dorado and Visman 21.

Central Valley Tournament
Ponderosa 42, Shasta 69 — The cold-shooting Bruins fell behind 26-8 after the first quarter to the Wolves and couldn’t climb back in Saturday’s tournament finale. Taylor Bybee led Ponderosa with eight points; Zacc Williams added seven; and Griffin Fontana, Travis Fisher and Dom Campidonico each had six. The Bruins went 1-2 over the weekend.

Golden Sierra 46, Delta 26 — Kaylee Shrader led the Grizzlies over Delta with 15 points, Emily Mathews had nine, Gwen Brown bucketed eight and in her first start of the season, Madisen Penley put up six. Emily Reddish had four points, and Rachel Parkhurst and Sarah Scroggins bucketed two apiece.
