Union Mine 54, Galt 39 — In a Sierra Valley Conference road game last Thursday, the visiting Lady Diamondbacks (2-6, 7-13) jumped out to an 11-7 first quarter lead and built it to a 28-20 halftime advantage. Union Mine outscored Galt in the second half, 26-19, for the win. Stephanie Preacher scored 11 points for the D’backs. Yvonne Taylor followed in scoring with nine, Courtney Bruno eight, Trisha Tolbert seven, Savannah Scott six, Katie Vick five, Jordyn Trulli and Katie Parker three each and Hannah Bird two. Preacher, Trulli, Vick, Scott and Tolbert each had a three-pointer. Union Mine made 13-of-25 free throws. The D’backs had 41 rebounds; Kinsey Del Rio, Bruno and Preacher had seven each. Tolbert and Taylor had five boards each. Preacher also had four steals.
