Senior Legion
El Dorado 8, Concord Zephers 0 — Taylor Shores pitched a complete game three-hitter and struck out nine in Sunday’s doubleheader opener. Hunter Gallant went 3-for-4 with a home run; Joey Smith and Jerrod Bravo each had two hits including a double; Justin Dillon had a pair of hits; and Chris Swineford doubled.
El Dorado 10, Concord Zephers 2 — Dillon’s three-hit, nine strikeout effort in the second game duplicated Shores’ outing. Dillon was 3-for-4 at the plate with a home run; Zach Mahon homered and Gallant doubled.
Note: El Dorado coach Rusty McDonald, along with assistant Fritz Reynolds, has announced that this summer will be their last coaching the Seniors. Both coaches want to invite all former players to attend their final alumni game Wednesday, July 11, at 6 p.m. For information contact McDonald at 644-1962.
