Union Mine 6, Vista del Lago 13 — Errors wrecked the Diamondbacks’ early lead over the host Eagles Monday in Sierra Valley Conference baseball action. Union Mine scored four runs in the top of the first inning and led 6-1 after three and a half before Vitsa tallied 11 times in the fourth and fifth. For the D’backs, Mike Davis was 2-for-3 with a double and scored twice; JP Pedretti went 2-for-4 with 2 RBIs; and Sean Tow and Jake Horn both scored two runs. On the mound, Charles Simpson and Tim Salemi each pitched three innings. Only seven of the Eagles’ runs were earned.
