Golden Sierra 13, San Juan 12 — The host Grizzlies outlasted the Spartans to win a wild Sierra Delta League matchup Tuesday. Nick White (three RBIs) and Joshua Salmonson (double) each went 3-for-4; Bryson Casmpbell doubled twice and drove in two; Kyle Moe (2 RBIs) and Cameron Stephens  both had two hits and a double; James Shurtz went 2-for-4; and Christian Klahn had a double and 3 RBIs. Five of San Juan’s runs were unearned. The game was tied 5-5 and 9-9 at one point.
Ponderosa 2, Rio Americano 6 — The Bruins led 2-1 through five innings Tuesday before the host Raiders scored five times in the sixth. Ponderosa had just two hits.

Softball

Oak Ridge 1, Christian Brothers 0 — Alyssa Burns spun a three hitter Tuesday and the visiting Lady Trojans scored the game’s only run in the top of the third inning. For Oak Ridge, Lindsey Zito doubled.
Ponderosa 3, Whitney 2 — Paris Hallums pitched eight innings, allowed 6 hits and struck out 17 in Tuesday’s extra-inning road win. Melissa Silveira doubled twice and drove in two runs; Rachel Timberman went 2-for-4, Taylor Eilders doubled; and Gina Bilotta drove in a run. The Bruins scored once in the sixth to tie and two in the eighth to win.

Golf

El Dorado 236, Galt 261 — Par 36 at Cold Springs. ED scores: Tanner Gould, 44; Sebastian Fenz, 45; Derek Delfino.

Soccer

Oak Ridge 2, Sheldon 1 — Anna Lippuner and Lauren Whited scored in the Trojans’ Delta River League win Tuesday. Carisa Rivers and julia crawford picked up assists while goalie Nina Grimes had 4 saves.
