El Dorado 13, Folsom 12 — The Lady Cougars overcame a 12-6 deficit with six runs in the sixth inning and scored a run in the bottom of the eighth for the walk-off win Monday. Kelsey Liddell went 4-for-5; Ty Henderson was 3-for-5 with a double; Shelby Rowan was 3-for-5; and Sammie Rowan went 3-for-5. Hailey Harkley and Joshlyn Wright each added two hits with Wright the winning pitcher. Run-wise, Trinity Jackson crossed home four times; Shelby Rowan scored three runs; and Sammie Rowan scored three runs.
Union Mine 16, Monterey Trail 0 — The Lady D’backs scored four runs in the first and eight in the second of Monday’s nonleague home win. Union Mine’s Beth Hammer held Monterey Trail to two hits in four innings. Offensively, the D’backs slugged eight doubles, three by Jessica Dager who had four hits and 2 RBIs. Shyanne Winje homered, doubled, had three hits and 4 RBIs; Mickaela Robertson went 2-for-2 with a double and drove in 4; Miah Linson was 3-for-4 with a double; Hammer went 3-for-3; Salista Almer was 2-for-3 with a double; Laura Dager added two RBIs; and Carley Stevens doubled.
Golden Sierra 6, Marysville 0 — Jazmin Lutey-Willard and Jenna Pendzinski scored twice each as the host Grizzlies blanked the Indians in nonleague action Monday. Golden Sierra also received goals from Erin Anderson and Breeze Baiz.
Ponderosa 4, El Dorado 0
El Dorado 5, Liberty Ranch 1 — The Cougars improved to 6-1 in the Sierra Valley Conference after Monday’s win behind Michael Green’s three-hitter. Green, who picked up his third win, allowed no earned runs, fanned seven and walked one. El Dorado scored a run in the first, three in the third and another in the fifth. Matt Smith tripled and doubled for the Cougars; Owen MacKenrick had three hits and 2 RBIs; and Adam Washabaugh added two hits, a double and 2 RBIs. Note: Should today’s game against Liberty Ranch get rained out, the make up will be a 2 p.m. Saturday on the Cougars’ home field.
Golden Sierra 4, Marysville 16 — The visiting Indians scored 11 second-inning runs helped by four Grizzly errors, three walks and two hit batters. Offensively for Golden Sierra, Nick White went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs; Carter Lencioni was 2-for-3; and Brayden Ellis scored twice.
Union Mine 2, Galt 7 — The visiting Warriors opened with four runs in the first and followed with two more in the second of Monday’s Sierra Valley Conference victory.
