Oak Ridge 1, Del Oro 0 — Austin Root pitched another gem Tuesday, a six-hitter, and Erik McNeill drove in the game’s only run in the fourth inning with a sacrifice fly. Tanner Ales went 2-for-3 and Logan Denholm doubled. Root fanned three and didn’t walk a batter for the Trojans (2-2).
Golden Sierra 7, Rio Linda 19 — Nick White was one of five Grizzlies with multiple hits in Wednesday’s nonleague game, going 3-for-4. Brandon Ellis (2-for-3, 2 RBIs, double), Reily Prine (2-for-4, 3 RBIs, double), Austin Mason (2-for-3) and and Cameron Stephens (2-for-4) followed, as Golden Sierra had 13 hits on the Knights’ field.
Golden Sierra 23, Highlands 2 — Joshua Salmonson (4 RBIs), Ellis (3 RBIs) and Jeff Klahn (4 runs) each had three hits in Tuesday’s Sierra Delta League win. Carter Lencioni added two hits to support the pitching of Stephens and Alex Vargas for the Grizzlies (3-3, 5-7).

Oak Ridge 2, Christian Brothers 1 — Sky Divinagracia’s two-run single in the bottom of the seventh inning Tuesday chased home Amanda Miller and Amber Orchard for the walk-off win. Alyssa Burns pitched a four-hitter for the Lady Trojans (9-2-1) and Cameron Kirtlan went 2-for-3.
Ponderosa 7, Whitney 0 — The Bruins scored early and rode the combined three-hit pitching of Terra Jerpbak and Meghan Hauck in Tuesday’s nonleague game. Jerpbak went 2-for-3 with a double and 3 RBIs; catcher Veronica Greene hit a home run; Madison Anderson went 3-for-4 with a double; Taylor Doane was 2-for-4 with a double, and Shawna Boley and Erin Anderson both doubled for Ponderosa (7-2-1).
