Oak Ridge 6, Ponderosa 3 — The Trojans swept the season series after doubling up the host Bruins in Delta River League play Monday. Jake Wehr, Alex Fitchett and Jared Ross combined on a six-hitter while Ponderosa’s Troy Booher went the distance, allowing nine hits. Oak Ridge jumped out to a 4-1 lead before the Bruins closed within a run. Offensively for Troy, Wehr was 3-for-4; Fitchett 2-for-4 with a double; and Luke Eicher added a pair of hits. For Ponderosa, Reed Omohundro went 2-for-4 with a double; and Jerrod Bravo was 2-for-4.

El Dorado 15, Cosumnes Oaks 3 — Matt Deane struck out 10 batters Monday and helped himself with a home run and three RBIs as the Cougars invoked the mercy rule to pound the host Wolfpack in Sierra Valley Conference play. Chris Swineford stayed hot with a 3-for-4 afternoon including a double and three RBIs; Connor Lacher had a double and three RBIs; and Justin Dillon doubled. Zack Brown fanned the only batter he faced for the last out in the fifth inning.

Union Mine 3, Cosumnes Oaks 4 — Audrey Osborne allowed just six hits and one earned run in Monday’s Sierra Valley Conference loss at home. Sarah Phillis was 3-for-4 with a double for the Lady Diamondbacks while Amy Pedretti went 2-for-4.

El Dorado 5, Galt 10 — Despite Emily Smith’s 3-for-4, four RBI afternoon, the visiting Warriors won Monday’s Sierra Valley Conference matchup. Katie Harris and Deanna Herrerra each added two hits to the Cougars’ total.
