Joining the winged 360 sprint car division on the quarter-mile clay will be the Limited Late Models, Pure Stocks and the visiting Midget Lites of the Bay Cities Racing Association.
In the Sprint Car division, Sanders enters Saturday’s race with a 17-point advantage over former champion Greg DeCaires. Matt Peterson is third in the ranks, 40 points behind. Defending track champion Andy Forsberg slipped from second to fourth last week where he is tied in the point standings with Placerville’s Jimmy Trulli. Jake Morgan is just 10 points behind the tied duo.
In the Limited Late Model class, 2012 champion Matt Micheli has moved into the lead by five points over defending champion Tom Tilford, last Saturday’s feature event winner. Ray Trimble is third, 12-points back, followed by Jay Norton of Shingle Springs and Mike Micheli.
Pure Stock racing has Scott Grunert at the top of the ranks with an 8-point lead over Tim Mack of El Dorado. Chris Van Roekel is third followed by Eddie Gardner and Rick Grunert who rounds out the top five, 30-points behind the leader.
The three track regulars are joined by the Midget Lites of the Bay Cities Racing Association. In this division, Scott Kinney leads the standings over Brian Corso. Marcus Smith is third followed by Terry Bergstrom and Cory Green who rounds out the top five.

The grandstands will open at 5 p.m. tomorrow with qualifying at 6:30 p.m. Adults are $15, seniors $13, juniors are $12, children $5 and those 5 and under are free. Placerville Speedway is located on the El Dorado County Fairgrounds at 100 Placerville Drive.
