ROCKLIN — The Sierra Sharks took fourth place at the recent 8-team Suburban Swim League Champs Meet held at Sierra College.

During the regular season, the Sharks’ 5-2 record was good for third place. Conversely, Granite Bay’s 2-5 record didn’t prevent the Gators from finishing above Sierra at the Champs Meet. Park Terrace came in first and El Dorado Hills was second.

The Sharks did win the prestigious President’s Cup for best points-per-splash ratio. Other awards Sierra garnered was for 10 and under Excellence; and its six high point scorers: Alex Rader (17-18 girls), Maisie Mora (15-16 girls), Analeis Vos (7-8 girls), Hollyn Kreiger (6 and under girls), Zachary Pickett (15-16 boys) and Talon Green (13-14 boys).

Green won three individual events: the 50-yard freestyle and butterfly and the 100 Individual Medley. He was second in the 50 backstroke.

Mora picked up wins in the 100 Individual medley and 50 back and also had a second, third and fourth in individual races and two fourths on relay teams.

Of 95 timed events for points, Sierra won 10 races.

Listed are results for the highest Shark placer(s).
