The Sierra Sharks Swim team is excited to announce their coaches for the 2013 recreational swim season. Aimee Lehr returns to the Sharks as the Lead Coach for the 9/10 and 11/12 age groups.
Lehr, a Stanford graduate, competed on Stanford’s women’s swim team and earned All-American Honors (2 pool individual swims) and 31 USA Swim Individual Top-10 achievements during her USA Swim Team career.
Lehr is also the Stroke and Developmental coach for USA Swim Club, the Sierra Marlins of Folsom, as well as the Women’s coach for the Ponderosa High School swim team. Assisting Lehr is University of Hawaii swimmer and former Sierra Shark and Sierra Marlin, Ryan Pickett.
The Sharks’ new Lead Coach for the 13 & Up age group is Dave Stoddard, a Cal graduate and former Walnut Creek Masters swimmer. Stoddard served as an Assistant Coach for Walnut Creek’s USA Swim Club, the Aqua Bears as well as the Head Swim Coach for North Gate High School in Walnut Creek. Stoddard also coached two recreational teams, Woodlands and Forest Park.
The Sharks’ 6 & Under and 7/8 age groups will be coached by Kaity Zawilsky, who returns to the Sierra Sharks from the Folsom Sea Otters swim team. Zawilsky competed for the Sierra Sharks and Ponderosa High swim teams. She currently attends Sierra College.
Returning to assist Zawilsky is Jordan Shaner, also a former competitor for the Sierra Sharks and Ponderosa High swim teams. Shaner attends Pepperdine University.
