Volunteer youth flag football coaches needed 
Cameron Park Community Service District is looking for volunteer coaches for the fall NFL Flag Football Season, beginning in September. Coaches will be responsible for teaching proper techniques and skills to players in a fun and safe environment. There will be one to two practices a week at the coach’s discretion. Games are on Saturdays. There are eight total games in a season and age groups range from second to fourth graders, and fifth to eighth graders. Youth basketball
El Dorado Hills Youth Basketball is taking online registrations for the 2014-15 season. Teams limited to eight players. The boys leagues are: grades 3-5, 6-8 and high school 9-12. Girls leagues are grades 3-5 and 6-8. Space is limited and teams fill up fast. There is a $25 late fee to register after Sept. 17. League is open to residents of El Dorado Hills, Folsom, Cameron Park, Shingle Springs, Placerville and surrounding areas. Games are held in the El dorado Hills area. High school boys intending to try out for their school are encouraged to register early to secure a spot. There are 10 regular season games and playoffs. Minimum playing time is guaranteed. Players are evaluated and placed on teams to insure an equitable distribution of talent. Register at edhyb.com.

Volleyball camp
Fundamental volleyball classes are available for grades 4 to 8 for beginners and intermediate players. Lessons are offered on Fridays from Sept. 12 through Oct. 3 at the Cameron Park Community Center gym, 2502 Country Club Drive. The class fee is $95 for Cameron Park residents or $100 for non-residents. The instructor is Melanie DeMure. To register for the classes, call 530-677-2231.
