Golf fundraiser
Serrano Country Club, in conjunction with the Armed Forces Foundation, is hosting an inaugural golf tournament Sept. 22. All proceeds will be donated to the AFF, which offers assistance to active-duty military personnel. National Guard, reserve components and military families. Sponsorship hole opportunities are available for $250, $500 and $1,000. Registration on event day is at 10 a.m., with noon shotgun start. Format is 4-person scramble. Dinner is included, and will offer a raffle, silent auction and Closest to Pin/Putting contests. Youth basketball

Summer Day Camps
From Aug. 4 to 8, take a Great Outdoor Field Trip to the Sacramento Zoo. The cost is $135, which includes a T-shirt. Wind down the camp with nature’s furry little friends. Every day will be a swim day. Children entering grades first through seventh can experience a variety of activities; drams, cooking, arts and crafts, paddle boating, games, swimming, Tumble Time Mondays, time at the lake and time at CSD.This is the last camp offered before a great summer comes to an end and kids return to school.

Youth coaches needed
Volunteer coaches are needed for the Fall NFL Flag Football Season, beginning in September. Coaches will be responsible for teaching proper techniques and skills to players in a fun and safe environment. There will be one to two practices a week at the coach’s discretion, and games on Saturdays. There are eight total games in a season, and age groups range from second to fourth graders and fifth to eighth graders. Cali Rush Youth/junior high volleyball clinics
Join club coaches Sheri Millhollin and Alyssa Kimball for individual skills and position training that will run on Sundays, Aug. 10, 17 and 24 at the Community Center Gym. For boys and girls grades 5-9th. Cost is $60 resident, and $65 non-resident.

Girls preseason workout
Get ready for the tennis season, as the workout run from Aug. 11 to 14 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Cost is $90 that includes free set of Kirschbaum strings. Competitive drills/play for Singles and Double Players. Minimum number of players is four, maximum is 16.

NFL Youth Flag Football
Join the Cameron Park Community Services District for the new and improved National Football League, sponsored by Flag Football league. The league allows players an opportunity to learn and develop skills necessary to be successful in the game of football. Players will have one to two practices per week, determined by the coaches, with games played on Saturday afternoons. Teams will be split into two groups, grades second through fourth and grades fifth through eighth, or if there are enough registrants three groups, second through third, fourth through fifth and sixth to eighth. Each participant will receive an NFL Flag football team jersey and flags. Registration starts on Sept. 6.
