Taekwondo students earn titles

EL DORADO HILLS — Students from the El Dorado Hills Taekwondo Center captured 14 division titles at the 10th annual Pacific 5 Star Taekwondo Black Belt Championships held in Cameron Park last month.

The athletes had collected points for participation and achievement during tournaments held throughout the year, with the top contenders in each division competing against each other at the championship event.

Champions from the El Dorado HIlls Taekwondo Center were Sharlene Duong, Forms and Weapons; Blake Hunton, Forms; Adam Dikeman, Sparring; Cade Richard, Forms; Paige Karpinen, Forms and Sparring; Aleena Duong, Forms; Matthew Simonds, Forms and Sparring; Sarah Sterling, Forms; Kaitlin Seligson, Forms and Sparring; and Uyenty Tonnu, Forms.
