The El Dorado Hills Soccer Club’s U12 Girls Competitive Team, Thunder, won the recent CUFA Tahoe soccer tournament.
In their first game, the Thunder tied the Folsom Phenoms, 1-1 before defeating SoCal’s Burbank Red Machine 01’s, 3-1. In the semifinals the Thunder secured their place in the championship match by beating the Monterey County Orchard Valley Stingrays 3-1.
In the championship game, the Thunder beat the Burbank Red Machine 01’s once again 2-0 to claim the title. Emily Fagundes and Madison Shepherd scored the goals.
