With a roster troubled by injuries, the Trojans were forced to grind it out against a stingy Zebra squad. Oak Ridge dominated in face offs, winning 12-of-17 in a game where persistence decided the victor.
Austin Hunter led the charge with three goals while Gage Webb contributed a pair. Colton Giorgi, Tanner Rosenbaum, Christian Dardano and Victor Bunce each found the net once to round out the Trojan scoring.
Rosenbaum picked up three assists on the night, while Giorgi, Dardano, Bunce and Trevor Lindemann each earned one.
The win gives Oak Ridge a 5-4 record before facing Bella Vista today. Trojan coach Chad Walden, and the team continue to expect better from themselves.
“We can’t come into this game (Bella Vista) flat or we will be playing from behind all game. We’ll need to find energy early and never let up,” Walden said. “The success of this game — and the remainder of the season for that matter — is going to come down to heart and passion.”
