Junior Tennis Clinic
The 28th Annual Hangtown Junior Tennis Clinic, sponsored by the Hangtown Women’s Tennis Club, is June 9-13 at Ponderosa High for kids age 12-18. Clinic Director is Martha Downing, a certified tennis pro and former Director of Tennis ar Millennium Sports Club. High Intermediate to Advanced are 8:30-10 a.m. and Beginners to Low Intermediates are 10-11:30 a.m. Cost is $30 for the week and $20 for second child. Football camp
The 19th annual West Coast Youth Football Camp, sponsored by West Coast Youth Football, runs from Monday, June 16 to Wednesday, June 18 at Oak Ridge High’s football field. The camp is for kids 6 to 14 years old. Former Oak Ridge football coaches Mark Watson and Chris Jones will host the camp, along with selected high school coaches and players. The football camp is for beginners and seasoned veteran youth players, stressing offensive and defensive individual techniques. Youth new to the contact football camp can experience the game before committing to a youth program. The camp is detailed with individual instruction and comprehensive drills to enhance a players’ confidence. Campers move from non-contact to full-contact drills in a gradual progression that culminates on the final day with a live team scrimmage. For more information and registration, visit wcyf.com.

Golf Fundraiser
The El Dorado High boys and girls golf teams in conjunction with the El Dorado High School Booster Club is holding a golf tournament to help fund the Cougar athletic teams. The tournament is scheduled for Monday, June 16, at 1 p.m. at the Cold Springs Country Club. Cost is $85 per player and includes golf cart, lunch and barbecue dinner. Contests, auction and raffle will also be held.
