In the end Post 119 played for the tourney championship. But Grass Valley Post 130 ended Post 119’s winning season with a 6-0 victory. Grass Valley advances to the Area Tournament.
The game was scoreless until the bottom of the third inning when Post 130 scored their first run on a single, stolen base and two passed balls.

El Dorado 14, Bear River 13
Prior to its championship game, El Dorado had some unfinished business with Bear River in the loser’s bracket game.
The game ended to a 12-all tie after eight innings on Friday that was called by umpires because of darkness. Action resumed Saturday morning in the top of the ninth. Bear River took a 13-12 lead in the frame that was aided by three singles and a walk.
But Post 119 rallied in the bottom of the ninth with one out. Matthew Gould doubled to left field. Ronnie Hartje pinched-run for Gould, as Bartelme singled, also to left field, to put runners at first and third bases.
Then Predretti doubled to left field that drove in Hartje to tie the game. El Dorado head coach Brett Robinson gave Bartelme the green light to touch third base and go home, where he sled safely ahead of the throw for the winning run.
Gould, Bartelme, Predretti and Brendan Hunter had three hits each for Post 119.

In their first meeting in the winner’s bracket Friday, Grass Valley busted open a 5-2 lead with four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning off three hits — including a double to left field — and three walks.
El Dorado scored a run in the first, third, fourth and sixth innings. Blake scored two of the runs for Post 119, as he reached base on two singles. Hunter and Predretti, who both walked, scored the other two runs for Post 119.
