Sagittarian Lunar Whimsy

Do you ever wonder whether your dream life is more real than it seems? The early morning void-of-course moon will produce some whimsical, far-fetched and yet remarkably convincing dreams. Write down your impressions, or they will be gone forever. The realism of the Capricorn lunar influence will take over soon enough.

ARIES (March 21-April 19). You approve of yourself and therefore don’t need the approval of anyone else. Also, you would rather be alone than hang out with someone who is ambivalent. Seek only the best company.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20). The truth is the truth. The same words could come from a child, a saint, a criminal or a sage. The source won’t change the truth of the words, though it may affect how many people believe them.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21). You’ve learned lessons from loving and winning, but you’ve learned more profound lessons from loving and losing. You’ll be reminded of what you’ve been through and how it applies to your current situation.

CANCER (June 22-July 22). You’re in the mood to freshen up your digs. Before you decide to remodel, consider that changes will likely take twice the estimated amount of time — and you can safely double the cost, as well.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). You’ll attract potential partners of all kinds. There is quite a lot you can accomplish alone, though. Consider what you would have to give up in order to become part of a team.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). If you do a good job of handling things in the moment, you’ll only have to handle them once. But getting to a place of handling things only once takes training and practice, so be patient with yourself while you are still learning.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). Everyone has strengths. You’ll like how things turn out for you today as you use your talent for sensing what those strengths are and assigning tasks accordingly.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). People who are very warm and friendly also need to have strict rules about what they are willing and not willing to do. Those boundaries are what allow for their generous attitudes.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). Once you hit a groove, you sail through your work. But getting to that groovy place will be a bit of a struggle this morning. Keep at it, and things finally will click.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). You may find that you’re overly opinionated now or that your thoughts aren’t as positive as you would prefer them to be. In other words, you’re human. There’s something useful that comes out of accepting this fact.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). You have learned quite a lot while trying to feed your insatiable curiosity, and your knowledge will be useful to others. However, you would be wise to share only with those seeking information.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). Past worries haven’t come to fruition. Does that discourage you from engaging current worries? If not, consider taking a break from them for the day. You can always pick up worrying again in the future.

TODAY’S BIRTHDAY (April 29). You realize that it’s impractical to pursue every passing fancy, and yet there’s a certain inspiration that deserves your undivided attention over the next seven weeks. June shows you holding a trophy. August brings interesting characters into your realm. You’ll be paid well in October and celebrated in December. Leo and Sagittarius people adore you. Your lucky numbers are: 3, 33, 14, 20 and 15.

ASTROLOGICAL QUESTIONS: “Should I get my son a puppy? I’m one of the few people on Earth who will admit to not liking dogs. These days, it seems like a sin against humanity not to appreciate the canine culture, but no matter how many cute YouTube videos I see, I cannot wrap my head around the smell, the shedding, the piercing sound of barking and the seemingly unending inconvenience of having to take care of a creature that was clearly meant for the wild. Did I mention that I don’t like dogs? And my 9-year-old son wants one desperately. So what is a Leo to do?”

If you’re like most Leos, you have a soft spot for children, and your heart is bigger than any amount of resistance to what they want. Therefore, you’re dog-bound. But before you do anything, take time to get to know the different breeds. They are not all alike. A smaller dog (domestic cat-sized) might melt your defenses, as well as limit the amount of shedding and requisite scent that could come with a larger animal. Barking is more of a personality issue. Seek a secure dog, and positively reinforce the quiet behavior. And consider enlisting a dog trainer or behaviorist to help you find the best match for you and your son.

CELEBRITY PROFILES: Taurus natives have two comedic advantages. The first is that Taurus rules the voice, and those born of this sign usually have a strong and unique vocal instrument. The second: Taurus natives are grounded in reality, and most humor comes from naked truths. As the king of observational comedy and one of the most successful comedians of all time, Jerry Seinfeld proves the point.
