Mercury and Saturn Conjunction

Thinking too much is a problem. Don’t let the Mercury and Saturn conjunction lead you in an overly serious direction. Invite the energetic Sagittarius sun to come to the rescue. She can be something of a provocateur, prodding playfully and inappropriately just to make things interesting, and she’ll give you the best out: laugh it off.

ARIES (March 21-April 19). Your thinking now is very different from the way you thought 10 years ago, and it’s reasonable to assume you’ll keep changing. Growth is the natural way. It’s not always graceful, but it’s usually necessary.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20). Trouble has been known to begin with the person doing exactly as he or she wishes. Rules, roles and responsibilities, though tedious, often nurture the best parts of us.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21). Study is not always noble. Ask the parents of perpetual college students — sometimes study is downright frivolous. The application of knowledge is more important than the acquisition of knowledge.

CANCER (June 22-July 22). You have a right to do what you please, and it pleases you to do it right. The way you live will make a point to the rest of the world. But you’re not trying to say anything. You’re just being you.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). You’re adaptable, and that’s what will keep the peace in your group. Someone has to adjust, and you don’t mind that it’s you this time. Your ego isn’t oversized, and your identity doesn’t hinge on one way of doing things.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). Mercy is heralded as a virtue, and yet it can embolden the worst behaviors. Drawing a hard line is sometimes necessary. You’ll be making a decision about what to forgive and what not to forgive.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). The fight of good against evil usually isn’t set in the world of superheroes and villains. Today’s events prove the point when good triumphs in a hundred humble tasks approached with great love.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). Motivated by curiosity, you’ll drive full speed ahead into a juicy mystery. Certainty is a dead-end road. As long as you don’t know for sure, new possibilities will keep opening a path before you.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). You know the secret to winning with people. It’s not what you say; it’s that you really care. Those who go forward heart-first will make strong connections where others fail to connect at all.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). Popular things aren’t always quality things, but usually there’s a very good reason why one thing rises to the top of everyone’s list at once. You’re likely to fall in line with the group consensus today.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). You’ll get what you put up with. Having to stand up for yourself over and over can get tiring, but as long as you’re consistent, you will win in the end.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). You can still get your way on the big things, but some of the details will be moved around. You’ll compromise on many points but not on your values. Those remain unchanged for now.

TODAY’S BIRTHDAY (Nov. 25). The next seven weeks bring a strong sense of fate, and you will know that you are doing what you were meant to do. You’ll cut the ties that were dragging you down and form more helpful alliances in January. You’ll invest in your career, and it starts to pay off in June. Family growth gives you more connections. Leo and Cancer people adore you. Your lucky numbers are: 4, 14, 50, 44 and 20.

PUPPY PROFILE: If you know when your pet was born, check out his or her sun sign and the personality that goes with it.

CANCER: Your Cancer pooch is a homebody just like Cancer people tend to be, and this dog loves being inside with family. Territorial instincts run strong for canine Cancers, and they take a ritualistic approach to controlling their own area and property. They are little decorators who have their own ideas about where things should go. Sometimes your shoes or dirty clothes wind up in their beds. They may have a favorite toy that they keep in a particular place or bones carefully hidden away. Cancer dogs don’t forget what’s theirs and where it is.

Cancer dogs make excellent medical assistants because they are so attuned to the subtle changes of their human’s chemistry and mood. These sensitive pups can be trained to recognize symptoms of a particular medical condition and respond in a way that helps the afflicted.

Cancer dogs love new groups of people interacting in their world. They are proud and like to show off at home. When you have friends over, these dogs may get more animated and will gladly perform for the company.

CELEBRITY PROFILES: The much awaited “Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues” boasts an all-star cast, including Christina Applegate as the driven and beautiful Veronica Corningstone. Applegate, who was born under an abundance of fire-sign energy with five natal luminaries in target-oriented Sagittarius, knows all about being a driven career woman and relates seamlessly to this character.
