Sun Squares Neptune
The sun’s angle to Neptune is a reminder that you can’t please everyone. You may as well make yourself happy. Also note that people will not believe something just because you want them to. Beliefs don’t happen out of obligation. Present things in a way that works for you, and then stand back and let them decide for themselves.
ARIES (March 21-April 19). The questions you ask will bring about the answers you already have in your head. To find out the truth, a person has to let go of preconceived notions and go in with an open mind.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20). What’s more boring than saying nothing? Saying everything! So many people will seem to find you interesting today, and this is because you listen slightly more than you talk.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21). Some small piece of information you once believed will now prove false, casting doubt on the other things you thought you knew. Take this as a sign of positive growth.
CANCER (June 22-July 22). You have made an impression that you were not aware you were making. Someone will be happy to see you — and much happier than appearances suggest, because this person is trying to play it cool.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). You will be working with a kind of map. It won’t take you to a physical place; it will take you to a beautiful place inside your psyche. You can use it to get back whenever you need to.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). Some pleasures seem universal, but be careful not to impose your idea of a good time on anyone else. You’ll deal with many different types of people, and each one has a unique version of fun.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). You will thrive artistically, though not publicly. You’ll explore your talent in a safe environment, delighting in the work. Don’t show anyone until you’re sure it’s ready.
SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). It’s as though you can project yourself into the future. You’ll take preventive measures and prepare well for an upcoming event. All of this thinking ahead will make you a star when it’s your turn to shine.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). You’ll feel motivated to change a pattern. Today’s action eventually will turn into a good habit. You quickly will get better at whatever you do repeatedly.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). Check in with your higher mind before you follow the group. You’re likely to think of a better way. Groups of people have been known to do rather crazy things that individual people wouldn’t.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). You may not be fully aware of what you value until today’s events point it out to you. Humor and amusement are higher on the list than they were last week. Levity is what keeps your soul unfettered.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). It’s said that ideas are more powerful than things, and yet you could make a compelling argument in the other direction today. The action will be stalled until a key material is obtained.
TODAY’S BIRTHDAY (Nov. 24). Intellectually, you’ll go beyond where you’ve been before. Next month brings an award. Family will make you proud. January features an interesting new relationship. In May, you will learn as you travel and circulate in groups. Apply your new skills and earn big. July and September bring a financial bonus. Taurus and Scorpio people adore you. Your lucky numbers are: 34, 4, 23, 28 and 41.
FORECAST FOR THE WEEK AHEAD: No matter how strongly we identify with our own hopes and dreams, they are not so easily communicated to others during this week of the Sagittarius solar journey. As the sun antagonizes Neptune, loved ones who gather for the Thanksgiving holiday may have a hard time connecting. The opposition of Venus and Jupiter takes the point even further on Thursday. But don’t worry. Just because we don’t “get” each other as well as we could doesn’t mean we can’t have fun. It’s the differences and rubs that make for an interesting and diverse experience, as long as you keep a lighthearted perspective on it all. So how do keep levity alive?
Let go of your expectations. That’s the first step. Most disagreements occur when we expect other people to behave and believe as we’d like them to. That’s a rather selfish thing to expect, and it leads to problems, including the huge problem of being overly serious and controlling.
The enemy of levity is attachment. Being invested in a certain outcome is a good way to set yourself up for disappointment and stress. To loosen your grip, agree to the idea that things will go wrong, and be fine with it. Then do your best.
CELEBRITY PROFILES: Katherine Heigl stars in the upcoming animated feature “The Nut Job” about determined and hungry rodents. This energetic actress was born when the sun, Mercury, Mars and Neptune were all in the passionate fire sign of Sagittarius. Her Jupiter, the planet of luck and abundance, in Leo, the station of the entertainment world, suggests that she’s luckiest and happiest while working.
