Building a retaining wall or paving your driveway just got a whole lot easier with the help of the staff at Cemex where expertise and inventory keep customers on the job professionally and at home.

David Dodd, sales manager at Cemex, has been with the publicly owned company for 10 years. In that time he has amassed a knowledge of hardscaping products that serves as a valuable resource to his customers.

“We can get anything a customer wants and we are the only building materials supplier with a ready-mix plant in their back yard,” Dodd said.

The staff at Cemex works with contractors and home owners alike. Prices are competitive with all other local suppliers. Dodd actually recently completed a price comparison with their various competitors to prove it. And Dobb says he wasn’t surprised at the results.

If you haven’t had a chance to get your materials for that spring home improvement project now is the time to visit their supply yard located on Davidson Road off Mother Lode Drive behind PJ’s Saloon.

At Cemex, customers don’t have to load materials or push a cart around. They’ve got staff on hand to do that for you so you can leave your gloves at home.

Cemex also stocks the tools the professional or the do-it-yourselfer will need for hardscaping projects.

Redoing your driveway? Cemex has you covered with the rock needed for foundation, ready-mix concrete and trucks to deliver it. And don’t forget to seal. Sealer, applied annually or biannually, can drastically affect the longevity of concrete. Choose from a variety of sheens to give your drive just the right look.

Want to upgrade the look of your pavement? Try decorative stamps and stains.

Cemex also stocks pavers, stones, bricks and erosion control products. Delivery is available.

“Nobody does exactly what we do,” said Dodd. Cemex is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Their address is 5481 Davidson Road in Placerville off Mother Lode Drive near the “Y.” For more information call 530-626-3590 ext. 3.
