Dale Stanec, DDS, only takes one patient at a time.

He listens to their dental concerns and desires, asks about their kids, dogs, etc. and entertains them with stories about his sons playing soccer while dental equipment fills their mouths. This personal attention puts the patient at ease and allows Stanec to truly enjoy his job.

“I just love the people side of it,” said the Cameron Park dentist. “I really enjoy my patients … and make sure I have time for all my patients.”

The one patient at a time approach also ensures a smooth schedule; patients are always seen on time and sometimes early.

Since 2001 Stanec has owned his dental practice, offering every service needed — fillings, cleanings, extraction, braces (including Invisalign and other non-metal mouth alternatives) and more. Along the way he and wife Elena, who runs the front office, have made many friends.

The secret to his success? Stanec said he continues to educate himself on evolving dentistry products and techniques so patients always receive the best care. He also makes sure the patient doesn’t suffer discomfort in the chair. “I think I have a gentle touch,” Stanec said. That helps patients breathe easy.

Stanec still accepts new patients and helps them set dental goals. An X-ray and exam get the process moving so he can correct any problems. Then it’s on to maintenance and, if the patient so wishes, teeth whitening and straightening. Preventative care is the best approach to good dental care, according to Stanec. Twice a year patients sit back in his chair for a good cleaning, topped off with flavored polish.

One-on-one chatting and chocolate-mint flavored polish — so who still thinks a dentist is scary? Make 2013 the year of good oral health and give Stanec a call.

Dale Stanec’s office is located at 3222 Royal Drive, Suite B, Cameron Park. Office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday; 8:30 to noon on Friday; closed on Wednesdays and weekends. For more information call 530-676-6500.
